Cycpod - bicycle camera rig
Back in 2020, I set out to bring the joy of outdoor cycling indoors by recording real bike rides for spinning enthusiasts. My idea was to create immersive videos to elevate the experience while pushing at home.
To do that, I designed and built a custom camera rig mounted on my bicycle’s handlebars. It was built to hold a gimbal and keep the footage stable, even on bumpy rides. The result brings the rider more close to realistic cycling.
It took some trial especially figuring out how to route the wires through 3D-printed parts but the final version works beautifully.
